The UpRoot community is now free! Plus I'm launching a new podcast called "Practically Green"! Next episode ft. chef Jenn de la Vega

I have a confession to make. I detest marketing the way you're “supposed to” do it. Things like “creating urgency” or “scaling” has never felt like me. I started UpRoot to connect with you --just as people-- and offer inspiration and tools to help us feel good, cared for, and happy while living green. We all need some sparkle, ease & support to get through what's happening on Earth, and have a chance to make it better. So that's what I'm here for. Period.

In light of that, I'm making my eco community + susty superhero chats FREE. The chats are now part of my new podcast, “Practically Green: Eco Living for Real People! They are spontaneous, authentically personal convos that include actual things you can do for yourself, your community, and your planet. I enjoy hosting them because they remind me why I love the Earth, teach me new inspiring stuff, and help me stay focused on the fact that there are so many people out there doing awesome, impactful, not-giving-up things for our world. I think you'd like that feeling too, and sharing it with you is why I'm doing all this in the first place!

So pull up your chair. Heat up your tea. (Or put it on ice. You do you.) Here's the budding archive of episodes thus far:

The newest chat just released is called “Feed the People,” and features culinary artist Jenn de la Vega of Randwiches and Family Party Catering. Jenn is effervescent, full of ideas, and gets real about sustainability in the kitchen. How can you make cooking lower waste without going nuts? How can you find green food habits you have energy for? How can you make this all more fun and full of companionship and community connection? Jenn brings lots of inspiration to the table for sustainable cooking, eating, and enjoying. She's got energy and spark and I can't recommend this episode enough.

Seriously, you will 😍 her.

Jenn says: “It's a full cycle. What are we serving? Will it nourish people? Will it make them feel good? And what do you wanna do with the leftovers?  It needs to be said at the beginning of a conversation…it's not an afterthought."

I want to be super transparent and say that while the community and chats are now free, some UpRoot offerings like courses, coaching, and sustainable goods will still have a price tag at this time, to cover the deeper effort, materials, and resources they take to make.

Thank you for being here, and letting yourself connect to the joy, love & inspiration you need to not give up. Here's to abundance, thoughtfulness, nourishment, accessibility, community, doability, and whatever else you want to add to our list of hopes for the world!
